baby girl, LOTV

good morning all
popping in today with a congratulations for a baby girl card. it seems like ages ago since i designed a baby card and today i've used for the first time a polymer stamp set i got absolutely ages ago from lili of the valley bunny alphabet these cuties are currently available in digi format and they are so adorable.

i have used my distress ink to paint the images and used a few dies from my stash to complete the design. i've gone for a shabby feel using papers from maja design, stamped around the edges of the paper and i've scrapped the edges to give distressed feel.

a little close up..

items used excluding a discontinued stamp that i have used that i got from stemple glede.
i do have so many lili of the valley stamps sometimes i feel so guilty using them as some of them are no longer available in rubber/polymer but they are my favourite brand.
one day (i don't know when - retirement count down on the horizon, lol) i will stamp and colour every one, wish me luck...

New baby congratulations LOTV images

good morning crafty friends
welcome to my shares for today.
i have two personel celebrational cards to share for one of my close friends to celebrate the birth of their first grandson and the other for their son & daughter in law to celebrate the birth of their first baby, Harry John.

my images have been painted with distress ink and sadly my photos don't do the images much justice as i was in a rush to finish and post them off to their respective addresses.
on my first image i've gone a little grungy, my original idea was to create a shabby chic card and i was going to add frantage embossing powders but i'd added my designer paper to the card and heat embossing the frantage powder was a no go after sticking down papers to the card... so i added some distress mica spray as an alternative and i let it dry naturally, sadly you can't see the shimmer of the mica.
my second card, again i've gone for a grungy image with simple lay out and to complete the look i have masked the image with a cicle and coloured the outer edges with one of my distress ink pads and added a little ribbon to complete.

a short post today.

and here is my list of goodies:
inks:
fade resistant dye ink: memento - expresso truffle
Tim Holtz:  distress ink

playtime kitten lotv

playtime kitten
hi and good evening crafters, for my 3rd post whilst still stumbling and learning my way around blogging my crafty makes i would like to share with you: playtime kitten (retired stamp) from lili of the valley (just love the cuteness of their stamps).
my colouring medium for the image on my card is distress ink, i rather like using distress ink as it gives me a softer sometimes vintage look to various images i use.
i don't know about you but when i make my cards i always have a picture in my head of what i want to achieve (i rarely pre-plan) i'm a kinda fly by the seat of my pants crafter, most times it works and sometimes they do get binned.
i hope my card inspires you to have a go at stamping and colouring (lots of colouring books available if your not into stamping) as colouring can be a very therapeutic process and should you want to learn i can recommend kit and clowder a super place to check out, just click the image on my side bar link.

card details
stamps:
playtime kitten (retired stamp), vintage occasions and all the best (lotv)
stamping ink:
stazon jet black
distress ink:
weathered wood, stormy sky and walnut stain
dies:
spellbinder: fleur de elegance and ovals, doohickey: vintage coffee box, memory box: hearts
paper, kraft card and 7x7" card base from my stash

all it leaves me to say is have the rest of a lovely evening and craft happy. Ann
