Penny up-date

hi everyone
stopping by with an up-date on one of my earlier dolls:
Penny.
Penny has had a little make over

Penny

i don't know about you when you are learning something new you think you always know better (this is me all over). i tend to run before i can walk as i get so giddy when i'm learning new things and my dolls are no exception. i made Penny a little while ago i knew i had to improve on making/felting dolls faces and i decided the other day to amend Penny's face and tadah the new Penny above complete with a super sweet waldorf inspired face and below the original Penny (who was sweet).

original Penny

thankfully changing the heads over was fairly simple.
onto new doll news
i have a super sweet new doll to share that will appear on my blog soon..
thanks for stopping by, enjoy your evening stay safe and
craft happy. Ann

Rosie a waldorf inspired hand made doll

 hi and good morning.
popping in today with another hand made doll

i'm pleased to share Rosie.

Rosie is approximately 12" tall and has a completed kntted body, a fabric face, knitted outfit and a mohair knitted and woven wig.
i have had so much fun making this doll.
Roisies outfit was made a while ago and i've been waiting to make a doll with a body big enough for the outfit to fit. lol.

i am a big fan of Mary Janes tearoom dolls and i have used some of her patterns on this project for the dolls body, dress and coat, Rosies hat is my own design.
Rosies fabric head is a combination of inspiration from dear little doll (pattern) and a waldorf natural doll (you tube). all fabrics, wool, threads and stuffing that have been used to make the doll are all natural.
i have to admit there are still a few things i struggle with but every doll i make they are improving.
here is a little photo shot of Rosies journey:

i just need to add a few buttons to Rosies coat and then she will be ready for anything..

as always i need to give a shout out to those that inspire me on my projects:
North coast dolls
mary jane tearoom dolls
lalia dolls
dear little doll
to name a few.

supplies come from a variety of sources:
little oke dolls

tillly in her nightdress

good morning to you all
popping in with a very quick post today.
i have added a nightdress to Tilly's wardrobe.
the nightdress is an adaptation of a MJT'S top down method 2 tearoom dress with quite a few extra rows for the length on the skirt and sleeves plus i've knitted a little head band to keep her hair locks in place.

materials used for the night dress:
rowan lace: white
MJT's method 2 topdown dress
2.25 mm needles
trimed with: white lace & narrow white satin ribbon.

i hope you all have a lovely weekend and craft happy.
