Merry Christmas

hi and good morning to all
well the weekend is upon us and i thought that i would
pop in and share a christmas card i made yesterday using papers, dies and embellishments from my stash including making a paper flower.

papers for this creation are from Maja Designs - christmas wish paper pad.

no stamping or colouring on today's card just a couple of sheets from the paper pad and some off white card to create my sentiments, trees and a couple of leaves that have been inked..

santa's helpers are on the bottom of one of the sheets and i trimmed it down to make a narrow panel for my focal point. the excess paper will be used on another project.
the flower has been created with using the other half of the red paper panel that is behind the christmas trees and elf embellishment.

it felt a little weird not adding a coloured image but the beautiful papers from Maja Design are all you need sometimes.

here is my list of items used to create my card.

birthday card & playing with some new dies

hi and good morning to everyone
popping in with my latest and a little rushed creation using some new dies.
i was really excited when my 2 new dies arrived yesterday morning.
i have admired  Nancy Dynes cards for quite some time and this is where my inspiration comes from for todays card and it's all down to the beautiful embellishments that Nancy Dynes creates using beautiful double sided papers along with a tim holtz floral die (sizzix)
so here is my first (possibly of many) creations using big floral embellishments.

on my card i have used a 7'x7" card base, added an image by stampingbella on my frame insert, a background stamp by lili of the valley - discontinued, double sided papers from my stash - tilda, a fancy frame die from joy crafts, a honeycomb die (can't remember), leaves 6 from lady e design, and my new dies: thinlets flourishes and tattered florals by Tim Holtz, Sizzix.
as this is my first attempt i didn't want to add too many layers so i've kept it some what simple, inked all the edges of my petals, leaves, base paper and my image has been coloured with prisma colour pencils.

all it leaves me now to say is:
thanks for stopping by enjoy your day and
craft happy, Ann
