happy birthday

hi and good evening crafters just popping by with a couple of really simple cas cards for the men in our lives.

i've been playing with some new stamps i have acquired from noordesignshop-uk. and the set is called retro autos by joycraft with superb vintage automobile images, seven stamps in total so plenty of choices to make more male cards. i have to add the service was excellent from their online store my parcel arrived within 48hrs making me really crafthappy and impatient to create.

30th best wishes

well good evening my lovelies. i just have to say i can't believe it's Thursday where has this week gone.
i have to say very little crafting done : ( this week by me time has just flown by.
tonight i am sharing a celebratory card and i hummed and eyed over which stamp i was going to use for this special card and i decided to go with Opal the Optimist by Stamping Bella as this little cutie is toasting with a bottle and glass filled with bubbly. so cute.

i have coloured this cutie with distress ink, created another embellie, framed my image with my newest super lovely die: gilded oval, die cut some sentiments and created an optical illusion with my 30th floating over the embellie on acetate.

so Sweet.

what a lovely weekend it's been here in sunny Westhoughton. and this evening is moving along nicely my garden has been tided, disappointing solar lights bought on friday removed from my bay tree to go back to the garden center.
i have to say in-between all my house titty vatting  i've had a lovely crafty afternoon playing and making various bits and bobs to embellish my makes, and on my card this evening is one of them.
my share tonight is a baby girl card and she is so sweet. i have painted her with my distress ink hope you all like what i have created:

thanks - may facebook challenge


good morning crafters, well i'ts almost the weekend and lili of the valley's face book challenge is coming to an end. just so you all know it closes at 6:00p.m. (uk time) Sunday 15th May. i hope that you have enjoyed all of our samples and had a dabble.

today's share is my second card.

for this one i have used an image from the art pads, hellebore are such lovely flowers aren't they. the art pad image lends itself to a variety of card creations, birthday, anniversary, thinking of you etc. and today mine is simply to say thanks and again i've chosen to follow the sketch fairly closely.

on your retirement

good morning lovely crafters.
happy Thursday..  and a quick sneak in post before my next challenge inspiration.
have i told all you lovely crafters i am a sucker for cute stamps and that i adore lili of the valley stamps, for me they are sweet, innocent and beautifully drawn and i know no matter which stamp i choose to use they stamp perfectly every time.

today i would like to share a retirement card for one of our colleagues who finishes in the next couple of weeks (lucky lady).
for her card i have chosen to create a vintage style and gone for sepia theme and the  papers i've used bring it all together beautifully.
my colouring medium for my image is distress ink.

may the joy of christmas

hello and good morning to all.
i'm back with another christmas card in between my inspiration cards for lili of the valley's face book challenge using a sketch. i hope all the samples from the team are inspiring you all to take the plunge and have ago (there is a link above my tabs to enter via facebook).
back to my card:
well i caved in and bought the beautiful die gilded oval (ldrs) it is gorgeous and for this card i have gone for a white on white-ish design using the last of my embellies (need to make some more). i have used one of the super cute images from lotv: shine a light stamped with black memento ink and my colouring medium is with pro-makers (it was coloured ages ago i found it in my box at the bottom : ) ).

sadly i cannot list the colours used other than i've die cut it with the oval and dusted the edges of my image with distress ink walnut stain and antique linen.


for my card:
  • i have cut my plain and shimmer card down to size, added double sided tape all around the edge of my plain card. 
  • peeled the tape off, add and rubbed in the white glitter to the adhesive remove the excess. 
  • stamped my sentiments on shimmer card die cut them and added to the right of my card with a slanted angle.
  • my first layer matted onto my base card with double sided tape, second layer mounted with three d foam pads.
  • added my image to the left (should have added 3d foam pads underneath the fancy cut oval too)
  • positioned and fixed my embellishment to the top right hand corner of my card to finish.

birthday recipie

good morning and happy Monday

i hope everyone has had a good weekend.
i'm back today to share my card inspiration with you for lili of the valley's may facebook sketch challenge. sketch has been created by the lovely Jen Nelson.

i have chosen to use the cook image from lotv's little folk cops and cooks and it has been a bit of a challenge creating a minimalistic card but it has been good doing something a little different limiting myself with my papers and i've kept it simple based on a chefs uniform.

may the christmas season bring.............

good morning and happy Saturday to everyone.
i can't believe the weekend is here again lets hope its going to be glorious, sunny and warm.
and i hope that you all manage to get a bit of crafting in somewhere in the middle of house work ; ), i'm going to try and sneak a little in this afternoon.
onto todays share, i can't believe i've made a christmas card but i have. i have used another of the embellishments that i made a few days ago, i think they have a very Christ-massy feel to them.

 for my card:

  • i have cut my plain and shimmer card down to size, added double sided tape all around the edge of my plain card and rounded the corners off both my layers and base card. 
  • peel the tape off, add and rubbed in the glamour dust to the adhesive remove the excess. 
  • stamped my sentiments to left side of my shimmer card.
  • added my stick-on pearls to three corners.
  • my first layer matted onto my base card with double sided tape, second layer mounted with three d foam pads.
  • positioned and fixed my embellishment to the top right hand corner of my card to finish.

mr & mrs

evening to one and all
just popping by with a fairly quick crafty post tonight: a wedding card i have made using one of the beautiful embellishments i have recently made

i have created a basic cas styled layered card using patterned papers and plain card from my stash, with some 3d foam to give me a little depth and one of my recently acquired new dies from crafters companion: mr&mrs.

with love on your christening

hi and good morning to all.
for today's post i am sharing a family card i have made for my great nephew who is being christened as we speak. Jack is a feisty little boy who is now coming on leaps and bounds considering the length of time he has spent in and out of hospital with his CDH bless him.
i am a huge hoarder of lili of the valley stamps (i have a lot of them lol) i just love the cuteness of these images drawn by a very talented artist and today i have used baby christening (retired) and i have chosen to use my distress ink to colour.
