birthday wishes

wow happy tuesday.
can i just give a big thank you to Marianne, Sue, Lorraine and Lesley for all your lovely comments on Oliver kick about they made my day and to add a little extra about our alcohol fueled trip around Manchester it was great i just love people watching and there are some characters that really make you wonder how on earth do they get home when they can't even stand on their own two feet.

onto my card today i have chosen to use one of stampingbella's tiny townies: bonnie loves bows and i have coloured her with my distress ink. i can't believe how satisfying using this medium is and it's taken me a little while to master it but thanks to the distress ink project class at Kit and Clowder makes it all worth while. ( a great learning resource and community)
this image makes my heart smile she's so cute.

bonnie loves bows, stampingbella

 for my card:
  • i have cut my papers down to size, inked all the straight edges and then matted all my paper layers together.
  • placed my die where i want my image to sit behind and die cut the oval through the papers.
  • inked around the inside edge of my cut and glued my image into position so it is peeking through.
  • attached all layers to my card base using double sided tape.
  • stamped and die cut my sentiments and before removing it from the die inked around the edges with walnut stain and milled lavender distress ink with cut and dry to leave a small white edge to expose the stitching detail of the die.
  • mounted my sentiments onto 3d pads and positioned it top left.
  • inked my mulberry roses and glued them onto the card.
  • and  finally added my little tags
materials used:
stamps: bonnie loves bows, stampingbella, various sentiments. lotv
6x6" white card base, lotv papers from my stash.
various dies
woc roses
inks:
stazon jet black, memento espresso truffle
distress re-inkers and markers: vintage photo, tattered rose, antique linen,
walnut stain, milled lavender, dusty concord, weathered wood

i hope you all have something good planned for today for me it's work : (
