happy birthday, Brittany the birthday girl

hi!
welcome to my bella share today.
iv'e taken inspiration from last week's bellarific friday sketch clallenge knowing i needed to make a birthday card for one of my niece's i thought i would play along with the challenge and this is my interpretation of the chosen sketch. i have used Brittany the birthday girl and coloured her up with my trusty distress ink using the stamp cover as my colour inspiration.

i have also done a little masking to add the happy birthday sentiment, i didn't want to make a fussy, ornate card.

a super cute card using
one of the recent releases from lili of the valley, isn't it really cute.
the set is fluffy kisses and the image has been painted with distress re-inkers.
the images from the set are suitable for a variety of celebrations:
birthday, anniversary, mothers day, new baby and today i've chosen to create a birthday card, this image could also be used to create a card to welcome a new baby.

happy birthday

hi and welcome to my share for today.
i have created another male birthday card using Sunday Stroll from Lili of the Valley

he's such a handsome chappie and the dog is rather cute.
this vintage boy has been painted with distress inks and i have chosen to use a simple card layout, a little mat and layer using some first edition papers i've had in my stash for quite a while.

i usually colour about 5 or 6 male/masculine images up in one go and make a batch of cards for the boys but on this occasion i only managed to colour 3, there are 2 more waiting on my desk that need to be inked. hopefully whilst i'm on leave from work i can get them finished..

onto what i have used:

inks:
fade resistant dye ink: memento - expresso truffle
Tim Holtz:  distress ink
vintage photo, tattered rose, walnut stain, antique linen, pumice stone, faded jeans, old paper, shabby shutters, weathered wood.
papers:
watercolour paper: langton hp - smooth
designer paper: first edition, wild at heart
linen card: cream
7" x 7" base card
stamps:
LOTV: sunday stroll
sentiment: my favourite things
dies: tonic circles
miscellaneous:
double sided tape

where you can buy:
stamps: LOTV - image
other stamps: dies to die for - mft - sentiment
dies: on line stores and craft fairs
