waldorf inspired boy doll

hi and welcome to my soft toy share for today

meet Chester a 9" waldorf inspired fabric doll complete with blonde hair, knitted shorts and a longsleeved jumper.

i had made Chester's head a little while ago and i even managed to chrochet my first brushable mohair wig, but i 've found i can make a knitted one a lot easier for me (i'm not into crocheting i struggle).

in my haste to create Chester i had done lots of things wrong:
didn't add engough stuffing for his head and neck.
he originally was going to be a girl....
his body isn't the right proptions.
so i sat and thought about for a while, moved his mouth a little higher, managed to needle felt a small neck and thankfully put him all together.
he's by no means perfect (one arm is slightly longer than the other and i haven't created feet)
but he has a cheeky face and he's adorable

all products used are natural, fabric, stuffing, wool, thread and features.
natural wool for his stuffing.
de witte - doll jersey for his body and face.
mohair wool for his hair.
west yorkshire 4ply for his shorts.
kingcole zig zag wool for his jumper
embriodary floss for his eyes and lips
bees wax crayon for his rosy cheeks.
height of doll is 9"

supplies for my doll are from:
