smile, enjoy, celebrate. bride to be

good morning crafters
welcome to my share for today:
a bride to be card
another recent make from the images i coloured a while ago.

my image has been coloured with distress ink and i've added a little frantage around the edges. usually when i colour i don't always think about what papers i have in my stash but thankfully spring garden from maja designs fitted in perfectly.

now we are into autumn i forgot how early the lighting changes in my craft room and i didn't want to change the brightness of the photos when i edited them so they are a little darker than i'd hope for.

i love the whole look of the distressed edges on all my layers including the sentiment.

 some of the items used:
6"x6" white base card
distress re-inkers
fabriano watercolour paper
maja designs paper pad
white card
stamps:
stampingbella - image & sentiments
mulberry roses
velvet cord
frantage embossing enamel

where i buy some of my supplies from:
dies to die for, stampingbella, art from the heart, carroway cottage, the mad scrapper, sevenhills crafts, ken bromley, craftheaven-shop.

all it leaves me now to say is:
thanks for stopping by enjoy your day and
craft happy, Ann

happy birthday

good morning crafters.
popping in with another recent make, today i've used:
Charlotte loves to shop
from stampingbella. this is a first outing for this stamp like many other bella stamps i have in my stash due to the fact i have been moving from one craft to another and i must admit i feel a little rusty at the minute with my card making..

this cutie has been coloured up with my usual medium of distress ink and i have gone all out using various papers, dies, flowers and embellishments to complete..

i have three more images that are coloured up and are waiting for me to add to cards and then i'll be in a mad rush (maybe) to stamp, colour up and make some christmas cards.
no pressure lol..

some of the items used:
7x7" white base card
distress re-inkers
fabriano watercolour paper
maja paper pad
stamps:
stampingbella - image
mft - sentiments
various dies
mulberry roses
pearl stamens
pink embellishments

all it leaves me now to say is:
thanks for stopping by enjoy your day and
craft happy, Ann

wishing you the best day ever.

popping in with today's share.

when stampingbella released these images i knew i would add them to my growing stash of bella's and they don't disappoint.
today i have used:
uptown girl loves to sing.

my image has been coloured with distress ink and her outfit has been finished with dots of glitter ink and white posca pen and on the edges i have added some frantage.

i had planned a simple cas card but i couldn't quite figure out a layout so i scoured my paper stash and my card was created. i've used a couple of dies for the border, some mulberry flowers along with pearls and stamens and a dinky corner stamp from my stash to complete the layout.

there are things on this creation that could have been done different (and that's just me being super critical on myself) and next time i use this super image my creation could be super cas or highly elaborate.

some of the items used:
7x7" white base card
distress re-inkers
fabriano watercolour paper
lili of the valley, paper pad - discontinued
stamps:
stampingbella - image & sentiment
magnolia corner stamp
posca pen
sakura glitter pens
various dies
mulberry roses
pearl stamens
frantage

all it leaves me now to say is:
thanks for stopping by enjoy your day and
craft happy, Ann

Popping in with my share for today.
i have another completed card to show using one of the curvy girls from stampingbella: curvy girl loves the beach.

just a really fun image to use and i have teamed the image up with some of bella's sentiment stamps on the background and i have stamped them randomly, again i have used my distress inks and glitter pens to colour the image and added some of my maja design papers and distress ink pads to complete.

cheers to you. birthday card

good morning crafters.
popping in to share one of my latest completed cards, a birthday card using a Stampingbella image i coloured up a while ago:
Opal the optimist, i have used my distress inks and glitter pens to colour as well as a little frantage, mulberry roses and two dies to complete.

i have been lucky enough to have two holidays recently hence no post for a little while and i am trying to catch up and complete greetings cards using the images i have already coloured.
With Halloween & Christmas just around the corner hopefully i will be creating some seasonal greetings cards over the next few weeks.

but in the mean time
thanks for stopping by

new Waldorf doll in progress

hi and good morning to all

popping in today to share a new very special Waldorf doll that i have slowly been making this year.

on this post the doll is still at a work in progress stage with a few more things that need to be added.
the completed doll will be shared at a later date.

in the doll making process i do still however have a huge problem with crochet and crocheting a weft but after watching a you tube video by polly wally do dah i have come up with my own variation. i have knitted/made a skull cap and i've carefully sewn the weft onto the cap using some of the techniques from the video and then once the wig was completed i have pinned and sewn the cap onto the doll and i am so pleased with the finished result.
one day i will share the process with you all...in the mean time i need to find a hard ball that is a similar size to the dolls heads i make to enable me to easily sew the weft onto the knitted skull cap, and then pin and securely sew the wig onto the doll..

the wig needs to be trimmed..

todays doll has been made using a pattern i have from a north coast dolls workshop i attended last year, i am so glad i went. i met some very lovely ladies and Meglene is a very patient and lovely teacher.

with her new glasses

thankfully i have all sorts of stuff in my stash from various crafts i enjoy and i have made a simple pair of glasses.
her glasses are made from pink coated florist wire..
so for now i will close off and say:
join me again soon to see the completed doll.
enjoy your day and craft happy, Ann
