mr & mrs. LOTV

 good morning to all.
well after months of not wanting to do any colouring or card making i feel as though i'm on a roll, just like the proverbial bus, you wait for one and three come along togerther.
today i'm sharing a wedding card using a stamp from lili of the valley happily ever after set, i fell in love with the bride and groom and i'm impressed with how big the image is.

sadly the photo doesn't do the card justice but you get the gist of the design.

i'm pleased with the chosen colour of the wedding dress, i've used speckled egg and the groom looks rather dashing in his suit.

even though the papers i have used are from vintage baby they work well with the design. originally i was going to use vintage romance but i got carried away as i'd already created the card base with the scraps from my previous card i'd just not chosen an image to adorn it and two hours later the card was completed.

baby girl, LOTV

good morning all
popping in today with a congratulations for a baby girl card. it seems like ages ago since i designed a baby card and today i've used for the first time a polymer stamp set i got absolutely ages ago from lili of the valley bunny alphabet these cuties are currently available in digi format and they are so adorable.

i have used my distress ink to paint the images and used a few dies from my stash to complete the design. i've gone for a shabby feel using papers from maja design, stamped around the edges of the paper and i've scrapped the edges to give distressed feel.

a little close up..

items used excluding a discontinued stamp that i have used that i got from stemple glede.
i do have so many lili of the valley stamps sometimes i feel so guilty using them as some of them are no longer available in rubber/polymer but they are my favourite brand.
one day (i don't know when - retirement count down on the horizon, lol) i will stamp and colour every one, wish me luck...

merry christmas

 good morning crafters.

question, is it ever too early to start making cards for christmas....hmm
yay to me, a day for crafting.
whilst my other half was out watching football last saturday with the kiddo's (Blackpool v Bolton) i thought i would do a little crafting. i'd picked up a stamped image from my little pile to colour and before i'd realised what i'd picked up i'd coloured this beauty from stampingbella, a christmas/winter image and not in my usual colours but it all ties in fabulously with the finished card.

tah da, my card

i have also played with one of my new gel plates. it took me a couple of attempts but i think i've got there.
i'll probably play with the gel plates a few more times with different colours, different inks, a spritzer bottle and water brush, so watch this space.
note to self: need some distress oxide pads...lol
